But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anton Korkus couldn't finish the play. Tim-Sebastian Scheiler made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Anton Korkus sent off a good shot on target. In the 16th minute Daniel Piecyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joseph Waldner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Daniel Piecyk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joseph Waldner was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. With a little luck, Hallthurm's Tim-Sebastian Scheiler got control of the ball when Anton Korkus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tim-Sebastian Scheiler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arne Michels, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hallthurm's zone, Anton Korkus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tim-Sebastian Scheiler came out of the goal and Anton Korkus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Tafern FC's Joseph Waldner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Piecyk in the 52nd minute of play. Joseph Waldner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernhardt Schnitzler in the 54th minute. If Bernhardt Schnitzler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tim-Sebastian Scheiler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Korkus in the 66th minute of the match. Tafern FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anton Korkus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tim-Sebastian Scheiler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Arne Michels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tim-Sebastian Scheiler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Korkus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute Arne Michels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim-Sebastian Scheiler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Arne Michels's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tim-Sebastian Scheiler was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Piecyk kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joseph Waldner. That made the score 0-1 in the 88 minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Arne Michels ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tim-Sebastian Scheiler was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. If Arne Michels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
