After 18 played minutes Andre-Yann Schaffer rounded Engbüttel's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Julian Christiansen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Quacken in the 28th minute of the match. Ole Burkhardt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andre-Yann Schaffer, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After having played for 33 minutes, Andre-Yann Schaffer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kuckenberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andre-Yann Schaffer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joschka Rapolder hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute Lennart Heinz suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 42 minutes into the game, Tim-Oliver Kerrutt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Engbüttel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kuckenberg the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Engbüttel's Frank Quacken slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julian Christiansen. That made the score 1-2 after 61 minutes of play.
