Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Andre-Yann Schaffer kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Kuckenberg's Mario Bär got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Theodor Thieringer struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Julian Christiansen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vaerloh. Julian Christiansen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Frankfurter, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Kuckenberg's Julian Christiansen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theodor Thieringer in the 6th minute of play. Theodor Thieringer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Julian Christiansen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the game, Mario Bär recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Peter Petters. Mario Bär showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vaerloh! Peter Petters had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Lucas Friedrichs's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The supporters of Kuckenberg booed when Vaerloh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glenn Reiner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peter Petters made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Jochen Akemann sent off a good shot on target. 35 minutes into the game, Glenn Reiner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vaerloh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kuckenberg the free kick. Glenn Reiner hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. A collision led to Vaerloh getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Horst Saborowski hit a great ball. With his leg Peter Petters managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Kuckenberg's Jochen Akemann fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
The audience was convinced that Theodor Thieringer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julian Christiansen was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Vaerloh's Horst Saborowski got a free kick in the 56th minute. After having played for 73 minutes, Theodor Thieringer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vaerloh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Theodor Thieringer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Emanuel Frankfurter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Petters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jochen Akemann, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Kuckenberg's Andre-Yann Schaffer got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Theodor Thieringer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Kuckenberg's Mario Bär got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Many of Vaerloh's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Vaerloh may have spent more time on the ball, but Kuckenberg were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
