Matthäus Breitner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jürgen Overkamp's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 19th minute Klaus Wolfram shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans-Dieter Tiede saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Oltmannsfehn booed when Ummern was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Randy Daumann didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 25 minutes, Cedric Deinert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oltmannsfehn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cedric Deinert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dominik Fischer hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Hans-Dieter Tiede made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when David Heinemann sent off a good shot on target. Cedric Deinert struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Matthäus Breitner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oltmannsfehn. Jürgen Overkamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Klaus Wolfram struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Hans-Dieter Tiede didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ummern. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Stefan Kader hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute of the match Niclas Wank shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hans-Dieter Tiede showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gerrit Nink kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Klaus Wolfram scored 1-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hans-Dieter Tiede, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hans-Dieter Tiede showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Heinemann, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Cedric Deinert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Matthäus Breitner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jürgen Overkamp came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Oltmannsfehn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jürgen Overkamp couldn't finish the play. Cedric Deinert's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Matthäus Breitner firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 71 minutes of play, Oltmannsfehn's Cedric Deinert made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matthäus Breitner was left in no man's land by his defense there! Matthäus Breitner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jürgen Overkamp, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Klaus Wolfram sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute, Klaus Wolfram got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Oltmannsfehn getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Stephan-Andreas Hantke hit a great ball. In the 89th minute, Ralph Behnke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niclas Wank was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 90th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
