Markus Paul Brinck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Behlau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamin Fuchs in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Damian Behlau showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Tappenbeck's Ludwig Wehn got a free kick in the 28th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benjamin Fuchs got free with Markus Paul Brinck in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Erik Bok in the 47th minute of play forced Brinkmann FSV's goalkeeper Mats-Alexander Gross to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damian Behlau to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Damian Behlau had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Markus Paul Brinck. The supporters of Tappenbeck booed when Brinkmann FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raphael Stube didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bodo Plagge was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 74th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jens-Erik Bok fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mats-Alexander Gross having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Brinkmann FSV's goalkeeper Mats-Alexander Gross had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl Blaßkiewitz. Jens-Erik Bok sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tappenbeck's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
