After 3 played minutes Dolsenhain got a freekick which was hit by Peter Kickermann. In the 4th match minute, Dolsenhain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Björn Wilhelm to maneuver through the defense. 6 minutes into the game, Tim Wisgalla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dolsenhain's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vinnum City the free kick. Dolsenhain's Johannes Motz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerd Klassen in the 18th minute of play. Dolsenhain's Tim Wisgalla got his second yellow card of the match in the 20th minute. The referee ordered Tim Wisgalla off the ground. In the 21st match minute, Dolsenhain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tim Wisgalla to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Vinnum City getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Moritz Wiest hit a great ball. When Matthias Ritschel came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Dolsenhain fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthias Ritschel couldn't finish the play. Johannes Motz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerd Klassen in the 31st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Gerd Klassen put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Johannes Motz. A collision led to Dolsenhain getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Peter Kickermann hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
55 minutes into the game, Vinnum City's Gerd Klassen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Johannes Motz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. If Hüseyin-Kenan Lautwein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerd Klassen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Johannes Motz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Sven Höfgen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dolsenhain's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven Höfgen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leo Schnackenberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Johannes Motz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Rybarczyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hüseyin-Kenan Lautwein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Motz having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Dolsenhain's goalkeeper Johannes Motz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerd Klassen. With a little luck, Dolsenhain's Johannes Motz got control of the ball when Gerd Klassen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vinnum City's Leo Schnackenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascal Kaiser in the 92nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vinnum City's Igor Zick got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Vinnum City's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
