The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Pablo Rottler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Steinbach Bei Ottweiler FSV's Artur Fandel got a free kick in the 4th minute. Pablo Rottler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Torsten Götz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pablo Rottlers short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Torsten Götz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Wolf Reinbold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Götz having to interfere. Kevin Striedl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wolfgang Gehlen, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Torsten Götz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Raphael Jüptner. In the 20th minute, Leonard Lütke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wolf Reinbold in the 22nd minute of play forced Steinbach Bei Ottweiler FSV's goalkeeper Torsten Götz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 27 minutes, Wolfgang Gehlen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Steinbach Bei Ottweiler FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wolfgang Gehlen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Teuchel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Fandel came free, but Kevin Striedl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Rohr took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kevin Striedl. Teuchel FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wolf Reinbold in the 34th minute of play forced Steinbach Bei Ottweiler FSV's goalkeeper Torsten Götz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steinbach Bei Ottweiler FSV's Torsten Götz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wolf Reinbold in the 35th minute of play. If Pablo Rottler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Teuchel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Fandel came free, but Kevin Striedl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wolfgang Gehlen to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wolfgang Gehlen in the 51st minute of play forced Teuchel FC's goalkeeper Kevin Striedl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Steinbach Bei Ottweiler FSV's Alex Rohr got a free kick in the 55th minute. The referee gave Teuchel FC a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Erdal Ohmer, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Steinbach Bei Ottweiler FSV's Torsten Götz. 1-1. In the 63rdth minute of the game Pablo Rottler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Steinbach Bei Ottweiler FSV's Torsten Götz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Teuchel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wolfgang Gehlen came free, but Kevin Striedl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torsten Götz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wolf Reinbold, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Wolf Reinbold scored 2-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Torsten Götz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Artur Fandel succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 79th playminute. Pablo Rottler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Torsten Götz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
