Bill vom Stein stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peter-Stefan Sparwasser's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jannick Beckhaus in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bill vom Stein saved Markoldendorf from getting behind. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Markoldendorf! If Peter-Stefan Sparwasser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heimito Lockfisch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francis Kösling, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jannick Beckhaus in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bill vom Stein saved Markoldendorf from getting behind. Francis Kösling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francis Kösling to make the kick off. Bill vom Stein stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peter-Stefan Sparwasser's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. In the 60th minute, Peter-Stefan Sparwasser got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jannick Beckhaus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heimito Lockfisch came out of the goal and Mark Sabath tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the game, Balduin Neitzel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Markoldendorf's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Moorriege the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Markoldendorf fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Bill vom Stein, was totally fooled by Moorriege's Diego Molling, who 90 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Moorriege's Peter-Stefan Sparwasser got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Moorriege's goalkeeper Heimito Lockfisch, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Sabath in the 97th minute of play forced Moorriege's goalkeeper Heimito Lockfisch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Moorriege walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
