After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Pal Körner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Udenborn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salzendeich FSV the free kick. In the 75th minute, one of Udenborn:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Udenborn. The referee gave Salzendeich FSV a penalty, 77 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Wolfgang Ellinghaus, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Udenborn's Stanislaw Babetzki. 0-1. 82 minutes into the match, Salzendeich FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Hartmut Kosch came free, but Leschek Depner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Stanislaw Babetzki managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Salzendeich FSV's Pal Körner fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Wulf Hauck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hartmut Kosch came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Udenborn fans jumped to their feet. Salzendeich FSV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hartmut Kosch was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
