Horst Dingels could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Leo Kerber made a huge save. With a little luck, Ellar FSV's Leo Kerber got control of the ball when Horst Dingels tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bartolomeo Bank showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Felchle in the 13th minute of the match. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ellar FSV! The goalkeeper, Leo Kerber, was totally fooled by Gräfenroda's Hristo Andres, who 19 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Marcel Felchle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Bartolomeo Bank tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tim Korth hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Horst Dingels left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gräfenroda fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. A hard shot 30 in the game by Horst Dingels from a close distance when the talented Leo Kerber managed to make a qualified save. Ellar FSV's players were relieved. Gräfenroda's Horst Dingels came free and shot a quick shot against goal 33 minutes in the game, fortunately Leo Kerber had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Mel Windhausen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Bartolomeo Bank tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Walther Richters might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leo Kerber. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Walther Richters ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aloys Fikus during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 53rd match minute, Ellar FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aloys Fikus to maneuver through the defense. Leo Kerber stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horst Dingels's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Christopher Sieger kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Horst Dingels recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Walther Richters came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Gräfenroda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walther Richters couldn't finish the play. After having played for 67 minutes, Horst Dingels managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gräfenroda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horst Dingels was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Walther Richters's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leo Kerber read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Marcel Felchle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bartolomeo Bank having to make a save. Leo Kerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horst Dingels, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Josef Heckrath's late challenge caught a Ellar FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Josef Heckrath helped the player get up and apologised. After 74 played minutes Gräfenroda got a freekick which was hit by Josef Heckrath. Marcel Felchle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Ellar FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Walther Richters came free, but Leo Kerber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mel Windhausen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Bartolomeo Bank tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bartolomeo Bank made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mel Windhausen in the 86th minute of play. Walther Richters hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Bartolomeo Bank successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 93rd minute, Walther Richters ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leo Kerber was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0.
