When Joshua Berghorn came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Münden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joshua Berghorn couldn't finish the play. Joshua Berghorns short, quick shot in the 5thth minute got Ulf Treusch to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ulf Treusch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Lank, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joshua Berghorn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Ulf Treusch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Johannes Achtziger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Michael Kalnik was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Rathmecke FSV getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Achim Suek hit a great ball. Ralph Dubberke hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the match, Münden's goal looked a bit too open when Olaf Katz came free, but Michael Kalnik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lars Lank fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulf Treusch having to interfere. After having played for 25 minutes, Lars Lank managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Münden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars Lank was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joshua Berghorn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Lars Lank fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ulf Treusch, passed just outside the right post. Clemens Korioth's late challenge caught a Münden's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clemens Korioth helped the player get up and apologised. After 31 played minutes Rathmecke FSV got a freekick which was hit by Clemens Korioth. The audience was convinced that Olaf Katz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Michael Kalnik was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. After the first half Rathmecke FSV were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
In the 51st minute Ralph Dubberke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Treusch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan-Niclas Drostel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Johannes Achtziger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Michael Kalnik was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Lank in the 65th minute of play forced Rathmecke FSV's goalkeeper Ulf Treusch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lars Lank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulf Treusch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joshua Berghorn in the 68th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Rathmecke FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Joshua Berghorn came free, but Ulf Treusch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, Münden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kai Baur to maneuver through the defense. Münden were furious when Jannick Terstege was red carded, 75 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. When the match had been going on for 77 minutes, Rathmecke FSV's Nikolas Zeiser got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Michael Kalnik. In the 85th minute Joshua Berghorn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Treusch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Rathmecke FSV booed when Münden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joshua Berghorn didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Johannes Achtziger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Münden's Michael Kalnik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Münden from getting a goal against them. The Rathmecke FSV supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rathmecke FSV would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
