Georg Bollmüller's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joachim Sterk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Buchhalde's goalkeeper Joachim Sterk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Buchhalde's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Georg Bollmüller scored to the left of an out of position Joachim Sterk, making the score, 1-0. 18 minutes into the game, Max Kapelle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gießübel FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buchhalde the free kick. The supporters of Buchhalde booed when Gießübel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Max Kapelle didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Gießübel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Moritz Buchberger came free, but Dino Hilligloh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 30 minutes, Jan-Moritz Buchberger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buchhalde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan-Moritz Buchberger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. During the 32nd minute of the match Max Kapelle completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Max Kapelle a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Joachim Sterk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Efraim Mende in the 37th minute. Dino Hilligloh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Moritz Buchberger in the 39th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Jan-Moritz Buchberger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Buchhalde's zone, Efraim Mende stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joachim Sterk came out of the goal and Efraim Mende tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 48th minute, Albert Wering made a precise shot to the right of Dino Hilligloh. Gießübel FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Efraim Mende stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 65th minute, Albert Wering got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jan-Moritz Buchberger received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dino Hilligloh came out and tried to block the shot, but Jan-Moritz Buchberger slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 73rd minute. Jan-Moritz Buchberger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Hilligloh having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin Wegel during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of Buchhalde:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gießübel FC:s goal. 91 minutes into the match, Buchhalde's Jan-Moritz Buchberger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dino Hilligloh narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Gießübel FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Georg Bollmüller hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan-Moritz Buchberger got free with Dino Hilligloh in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Efraim Mende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joachim Sterk having to interfere.
