Wendelin Habel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Bornheim FC's Günter Wright got a free kick in the 17th minute. If Wendelin Habel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wendelin Habel to make the kick off. Lukas Böhringer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wendelin Habel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, Wendelin Habel made a precise shot to the right of Lukas Böhringer. Netra FSV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wendelin Habel in the 87th minute of play forced Netra FSV's goalkeeper Lukas Böhringer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the game, Christoph Jerems was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bornheim FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netra FSV the free kick. In the 94th minute, Christoph Jerems hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamin Uhl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klaudius Faber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bornheim FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Netra FSV had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
