When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wendelin Habel made a kick off. Dino Hilligloh made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Gregor Gellekum sent off a good shot on target. Dino Hilligloh was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Wendelin Habel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wendelin Habel really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Benjamin Uhl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Georg Bollmüller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute, Günter Wright hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the game, Raik Fürkötter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gießübel FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bornheim FC the free kick. A collision led to Gießübel FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Raik Fürkötter hit a great ball. Wendelin Habel struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Dino Hilligloh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bornheim FC. In the 92nd minute, Wolfgang Bender hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Bornheim FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bornheim FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
