Lovis Ertl stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Siegmund Buhrmann. 1-1. Ubbo Marschner struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Ralph Dams didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germania Haithabu. Germania Haithabu's Ubbo Marschner was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 16th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Ubbo Marschner who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Ralph Dams when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 24 minutes, Bernd Holz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germania Haithabu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernd Holz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the game, Bernd Thieringer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beinghausen FSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Germania Haithabu the free kick. In the 29th match minute, Beinghausen FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernd Thieringer to maneuver through the defense. Ubbo Marschners short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Ralph Dams to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A hard shot 34 in the game by Ubbo Marschner from a close distance when the talented Ralph Dams managed to make a qualified save. Beinghausen FSV's players were relieved. If Bernd Holz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ubbo Marschner's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Ralph Dams skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ubbo Marschners short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Ralph Dams to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Arjen Brockmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ralph Dams tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ubbo Marschner stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bernd Holz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ralph Dams having to make a save. If Ubbo Marschner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute Ubbo Marschner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralph Dams saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Lev Noack fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Beinghausen FSV's protests and gave Lev Noack a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute, Lev Noack hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61stth minute of the game Arjen Brockmann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Beinghausen FSV's Ralph Dams was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ubbo Marschner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, Ulrich Kienzle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ubbo Marschner came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Germania Haithabu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubbo Marschner couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Beinghausen FSV's goalkeeper Ralph Dams, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Arjen Brockmann came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Germania Haithabu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arjen Brockmann couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute, Arjen Brockmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lev Noack was shown his second yellow card after 78 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Ralph Dams took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubbo Marschner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arjen Brockmann in the 93rd minute of play forced Beinghausen FSV's goalkeeper Ralph Dams to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 96 minutes, Erich Jagemann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Beinghausen FSV and the Germania Haithabu players grew even worse after the yellow card.
