Volkmar Post made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bert Wolf in the 3rd minute of play. August Kossendey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Nunez Iraitz made a huge save. After 13 minutes Frank Football's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Enrico Schemel who took care of the corner kick. The corner led FC Puhl's Enrico Schemel to fire away a dangerous shot which Nunez Iraitz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Nunez Iraitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robert Rabe in the 14th minute. In the 20th minute, Einar Holst hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ingemar Nothhelfer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter-Michael Rogowski's late challenge caught a FC Puhl's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peter-Michael Rogowski helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd minute, Peter-Michael Rogowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rudi Anheuser kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. August Kossendey's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Nunez Iraitz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 33 played minutes Frank Football got a freekick which was hit by Peter-Michael Rogowski. After a defensive mix-up in Frank Football's zone, August Kossendey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nunez Iraitz came out of the goal and August Kossendey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frank Football were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after FC Puhl's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gerd Pflug took the corner. Stefan Stedefeldt charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stefan Stedefeldt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th match minute, Frank Football was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Stedefeldt to maneuver through the defense. Nunez Iraitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Rabe in the 43rd minute of the match. 43 minutes into the game, Ingemar Nothhelfer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Puhl's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Frank Football the free kick. The supporters of Frank Football booed when FC Puhl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingemar Nothhelfer didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Gerd Pflug's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Volkmar Post was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robert Rabe made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Gerd Pflug left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Frank Football fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Bert Wolf could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Volkmar Post made a huge save. 57 minutes into the match, Frank Football's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Rabe came free, but Nunez Iraitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Frank Football getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Ciprian Manciu hit a great ball. Enrico Schemel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 59 minutes of play, FC Puhl's Robert Rabe made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nunez Iraitz was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to FC Puhl getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Jacob Marder hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Frank Football's Rudi Anheuser got a free kick in the 63rd minute. August Kossendey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nunez Iraitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Rabe in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute August Kossendey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nunez Iraitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 played minutes FC Puhl got a freekick which was hit by Jacob Marder. If Gerd Pflug had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 played minutes Frank Football got a freekick which was hit by Rudi Anheuser. In the 87th minute, Gerd Pflug left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Frank Football fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After a rather tough play, FC Puhl's Jacob Marder got a free kick in the 91st minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Frank Football had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
