Bert Becker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthias Gingold in the 5th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dominik Hanisch during the 6th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Detlef Schapiro in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karsten Altendorf prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Detlef Schapiro fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oldenbüttel's protests and gave Detlef Schapiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd match minute, Oldenbüttel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Detlef Schapiro to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Oldenbüttel's Julius Seligmann got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 35th minute, Gunter Fochler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oldenbüttel's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Julius Seligmann in the 39th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Levan Schub got free with Karsten Altendorf in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Detlef Schapiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Oldenbüttel booed when Dageförde FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudolf Meckel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karsten Altendorf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Detlef Schapiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oldenbüttel's Levan Schub got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthias Gingold couldn't finish the play. Bert Becker was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Matthias Gingold showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 83 minute of play. Vadim von Bonin charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vadim von Bonin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Levan Schub managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oldenbüttel's supporters rose to their feet, but Levan Schub was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karsten Altendorf breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Dageförde FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
