In the 14th minute, Serkan Gaar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Täve Bachert was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Serkan Gaar came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Gotham Saray FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serkan Gaar couldn't finish the play. Frank Cremer-Ricken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Täve Bachert having to interfere. 24 minutes into the game, Gotham Saray FC's Frank Cremer-Ricken nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Täve Bachert made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Frank Cremer-Ricken blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Täve Bachert having to make a save. The supporters of Gotham Saray FC booed when FC Leutpolz 05 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens Schaar didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, FC Leutpolz 05's Apolo Egoitz threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hemmo Rossmann, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After the first half Gotham Saray FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hemmo Rossmann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the match, Gotham Saray FC's Serkan Gaar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Täve Bachert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Frank Cremer-Ricken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Täve Bachert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serkan Gaar, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Gotham Saray FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leik Blumenthal in the 78th minute. Täve Bachert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Cremer-Ricken in the 80th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Frank Cremer-Ricken had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Täve Bachert. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Cremer-Ricken in the 87th minute of play forced FC Leutpolz 05's goalkeeper Täve Bachert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Täve Bachert managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Gotham Saray FC's Frank Cremer-Ricken fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. FC Leutpolz 05's Täve Bachert proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Leutpolz 05 from getting a goal against them. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Frank Cremer-Ricken got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The FC Leutpolz 05 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gotham Saray FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
