Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilhelm Bach in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remigiusz Wojtyna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes into the match, Taha Kurceren dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gabor Rieden, 3-0. The supporters of Brum FC booed when HBH was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georg Probst didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gonzalo Tipi was the one to do the kick off.
