The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, FC Wesseling's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Pleban came free, but Afonso Santarém reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricky Krone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolf Sonntag, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute, FC Wesseling's Niklas Drostel seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Niklas Drostel the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Wesseling protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Niklas Drostel had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, FC Wesseling's Niklas Drostel got a free kick in the 7th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kai Kambach in the 9th minute of play forced FC Wesseling's goalkeeper Afonso Santarém to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricky Krone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolf Sonntag in the 10th minute of the match. Dominik Szolkowy hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute of the match Karel Prabaya sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Afonso Santarém skillfully saved the ball. In the 36th minute, Donald Höppner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aggressive Workout fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 39 minutes into the match, Damian Pleban had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Afonso Santarém. FC Wesseling's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Pleban was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. FC Wesseling's Afonso Santarém played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Pleban in the 43rd minute of play. Donald Höppner scored 0-5 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Afonso Santarém, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Damian Pleban made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, FC Wesseling's Afonso Santarém got control of the ball when Kai Kambach tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gunter Trox's late challenge caught a FC Wesseling's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gunter Trox helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes Aggressive Workout got a freekick which was hit by Gunter Trox. After 55 minutes, Damian Pleban mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aggressive Workout and the FC Wesseling players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Aggressive Workout getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Damian Pleban hit a great ball. Afonso Santarém made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Pleban in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, FC Wesseling's goalkeeper Afonso Santarém had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donald Höppner. The attack was good, but when Damian Pleban in the 64th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 66 minutes into the match, Kai Kambach notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of FC Wesseling's Afonso Santarém. Afonso Santarém was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rolf Sonntag fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricky Krone having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Ahmed Pflug managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Wesseling's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmed Pflug was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricky Krone breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Afonso Santarém came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Aggressive Workout's Donald Höppner. But to his dismay, Donald Höppner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Afonso Santarém showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Pleban, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Afonso Santarém made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Pleban in the 81st minute of play. When Ahmed Pflug fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Wesseling's protests and gave Ahmed Pflug a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Wesseling getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Ahmed Pflug hit a great ball. A hard shot 84 in the game by Kai Kambach from a close distance when the talented Afonso Santarém managed to make a qualified save. FC Wesseling's players were relieved. The supporters of Aggressive Workout booed when FC Wesseling was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmed Pflug didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aggressive Workout's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
