The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Roman Mikula the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Lavicky protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Roman Mikula had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lavicky fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 3rd minute. Penalty! Lavicky:s Jiří Skoupý showed great skill when he stopped Zdeněk Kachlík:s penalty. Zdeněk Kachlík took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jiří Skoupý. Jiří Skoupý dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 10 minutes into the game, Zdeněk Pluskal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Jiří Skoupý was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Emil Hroch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute Zdeněk Pluskal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jiří Skoupý saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
