The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes SK Leschtina got a freekick which was hit by Slavomír Dočkal. Jiří Štrobl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavel Zídek in the 8th minute of the match. Jiří Štrobl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pavel Zídek in the 12th minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Třinec's Ondřej Marko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jiří Štrobl made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. SK Leschtina's Břetislav Rek came free and shot a quick shot against goal 44 minutes in the game, fortunately Libor Schulz had problems saving as it came toward the left post.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Martin Huml stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ondřej Marko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Jiří Štrobl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Břetislav Rek came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the SK Leschtina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Břetislav Rek couldn't finish the play. The supporters of SK Leschtina booed when Třinec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavel Zídek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Libor Schulz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Břetislav Rek in the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Břetislav Rek in the 76th minute of play forced Třinec's goalkeeper Libor Schulz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ondřej Marko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Jiří Štrobl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jiří Štrobl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ondřej Marko in the 91st minute. Břetislav Rek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Libor Schulz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Třinec's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
