After a defensive mix-up in Bahenec's zone, Hanuš Vlašic stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vincenc Kašík came out of the goal and Hanuš Vlašic tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, Ankh-Morpork Shades's goal looked a bit too open when Josef Hoch came free, but Darley Markcrow reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zdeněk Štrobl made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 18thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Vincenc Kašík would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Ankh-Morpork Shades's Hanuš Vlašic slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vincenc Kašík. That made the score 1-0 after 21 minutes of play. Hanuš Vlašic blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vincenc Kašík having to make a save. 27 minutes into the match, Bahenec's goalkeeper Vincenc Kašík had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zdeněk Štrobl. 28 minutes into the game, Vilém Lebduška cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Darley Markcrow was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alfred Vaníček charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfred Vaníček the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th match minute, Bahenec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfred Vaníček to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute, Zdeněk Štrobl reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vincenc Kašík. The goal made the score 2-1. Vincenc Kašík made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zdeněk Štrobl in the 46th minute. Vincenc Kašík stood somewhat misplaced when Hanuš Vlašic came free in front of goal and shot 3-1 to the left of him in the 47 minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Bahenec's Vincenc Kašík played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Libor Kaiser in the 53rd minute of play. After 54 played minutes Bahenec got a freekick which was hit by Marco Jadrný. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Hanuš Vlašic managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ankh-Morpork Shades's supporters rose to their feet, but Hanuš Vlašic was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vincenc Kašík breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hanuš Vlašic charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. With his leg Darley Markcrow managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Bahenec's Vilém Lebduška fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Vincenc Kašík showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zdeněk Štrobl, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Oldřich Stanislav hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bahenec's goalkeeper Vincenc Kašík, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Ankh-Morpork Shades fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Ankh-Morpork Shades's Zdeněk Štrobl looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Josef Hoch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vilém Lebduška fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darley Markcrow having to interfere. Darley Markcrow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josef Hoch, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Ankh-Morpork Shades's Hanuš Vlašic sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vincenc Kašík narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hanuš Vlašic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zdeněk Štrobl's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vincenc Kašík read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. If Hanuš Vlašic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Zdeněk Štrobl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bahenec's goalkeeper Vincenc Kašík, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ankh-Morpork Shades's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
