Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomáš Basl started the match with the kick off. Jaromír Jung might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jiří Kuklík. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaromír Jung ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 9th minute, FC Stará Boleslav's Tomáš Basl ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Markus Růčka. Markus Růčka yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Tomáš Čuba struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Jiří Kuklík didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Baník Ostrava. Jiří Kuklík showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomáš Čuba in the 14th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, FC Stará Boleslav's goal looked a bit too open when Tomáš Čuba came free, but Jiří Kuklík reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Saša Náprstek put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jiří Kuklík. Ivo Chroust hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. If Marco Tokár had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Marco Tokár came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the FC Stará Boleslav fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Tokár couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ondřej Lakatos during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After the first half FC Baník Ostrava were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Saša Náprstek to strike the kick off in the second half. Tomáš Basl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jiří Slaný's late challenge caught a FC Stará Boleslav's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jiří Slaný helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Stará Boleslav booed when FC Baník Ostrava was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jiří Slaný didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Tokár sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Saša Náprstek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in FC Stará Boleslav's zone, Saša Náprstek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jiří Kuklík came out of the goal and Saša Náprstek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaromír Jung during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Markus Růčka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomáš Basl, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. If Marco Tokár had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute Saša Náprstek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jiří Kuklík saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaromír Jung got his second yellow card in the match during the 91st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 91 played minutes FC Baník Ostrava got a freekick which was hit by Jaromír Jung. The audience was convinced that Tomáš Basl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Markus Růčka was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Baník Ostrava walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
