Hubert Remeš fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miroslav Vesecký having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zdeněk Lacko in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miroslav Vesecký prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Ladislav Hodan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miroslav Vesecký took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zdeněk Lacko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zdeněk Lacko in the 34th minute of play forced FC Cigis Gunners's goalkeeper Miroslav Vesecký to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Zdeněk Lacko put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Miroslav Vesecký. Miroslav Vesecký showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hubert Remeš, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Stanislav Lisý stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kristián Domin's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kristián Domin to make the kick off. Hole's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
