The Black Monkeys's Emanuel Malec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Dokoupil in the 3rd minute of play. When FC Zbrojovka Brno's Ladislav Douda in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. FC Zbrojovka Brno's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalibor Oulehla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in The Black Monkeys's zone, Zbyšek Kanči stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Malec came out of the goal and Zbyšek Kanči tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When FC Zbrojovka Brno's Eduard Dokoupil in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, The Black Monkeys's Zbyněk Smolka got a free kick in the 34th minute. If Ladislav Douda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dalibor Oulehla came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the FC Zbrojovka Brno fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dalibor Oulehla couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Ladislav Douda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emanuel Malec was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Eduard Dokoupil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Malec having to interfere. The The Black Monkeys players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Zbrojovka Brno were winning 0-2.

After 51 played minutes The Black Monkeys got a freekick which was hit by Miloň Kočka. Emanuel Malec made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Zbyšek Kanči sent off a good shot on target. 55 minutes into the match, The Black Monkeys's goalkeeper Emanuel Malec had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dalibor Oulehla. 56 minutes into the match, Zbyšek Kanči notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of The Black Monkeys's Emanuel Malec. Emanuel Malec was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for The Black Monkeys! The audience thought a goal was coming when Ladislav Douda got free with Emanuel Malec in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Eduard Dokoupil managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Zbrojovka Brno's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduard Dokoupil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Malec breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69th match minute, The Black Monkeys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Imrich Trunda to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FC Zbrojovka Brno booed when The Black Monkeys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zbyněk Smolka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eduard Dokoupil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The FC Zbrojovka Brno fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Eduard Dokoupil charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eduard Dokoupil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
