Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Konikov's Miroslav Gruber started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arnold Doubek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martin Zicha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslav Gruber in the 17th minute of play forced Nedeliste's goalkeeper Václav Mikoláš to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Konikov's goal looked a bit too open when Arnold Doubek came free, but Martin Zicha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnold Doubek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Arnold Doubek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nedeliste's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnold Doubek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Zicha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. David Šedivec charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Šedivec the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th match minute, Nedeliste was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Šedivec to maneuver through the defense. When Josef Folwarczny fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nedeliste's protests and gave Josef Folwarczny a yellow card for diving instead. After 44 played minutes Nedeliste got a freekick which was hit by Josef Folwarczny. A hard shot by Leo Vraný from long distance, 45 minutes into the match, got Václav Mikoláš's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lukáš Ulman during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Boris Vitvar to strike the kick off in the second half. Boris Vitvar struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Martin Zicha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nedeliste. Jan Výborný hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Martin Zicha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boris Vitvar in the 57th minute of play. If Boris Vitvar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. Leo Vraný hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 0-3 became the score in the 70th minute when Boris Vitvar elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Boris Vitvar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Konikov's Martin Zicha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Konikov from getting a goal against them. 87 minutes into the game, Miroslav Gruber cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Václav Mikoláš was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Konikov's zone, Arnold Doubek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Zicha came out of the goal and Arnold Doubek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
