Jacek Kubový fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pavol Zelinger having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, FK Havířov's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Jurek came free, but René Javorský reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Reds's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Martin Jurek in the 43rd minute. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Miroslav Čevela got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-2. 43 minutes into the match. René Javorský stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miroslav Čevela's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miroslav Čevela made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Jurek in the 53rd minute of play forced FK Havířov's goalkeeper René Javorský to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miroslav Čevela struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. René Javorský didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Reds. 61 minutes into the match, FK Havířov's Josef Ducháč sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pavol Zelinger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Martin Jurek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miroslav Čevela's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but René Javorský read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Vlastimil Pekař fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pavol Zelinger having to interfere. Josef Ducháč struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Pavol Zelinger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FK Havířov. The Reds's Martin Jurek got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Miroslav Čevela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. René Javorský made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miroslav Čevela in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. The Reds had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
