In the 71st minute, Pravoslav Sváček got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Athletic Czech Republic's František Šturc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Athletic Czech Republic from getting a goal against them. Ludvík Pavel was extremely unlucky when he, in the 76th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out.
