When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Ludvík Pavel took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Lukáš Nohejl to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Tatran Sedlčany's Zdeněk Kratochvil got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 18 minutes of play, Slavia Praha's Juraj Macháň made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Václav Hrnčiřík was left in no man's land by his defense there! Slavia Praha's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Ludvík Pavel scored to the left of an out of position Lukáš Nohejl, making the score, 2-1. After 42 played minutes Tatran Sedlčany got a freekick which was hit by Pavel Balej. After 43 played minutes, Slavia Praha's David Balík shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Václav Hrnčiřík came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Slavia Praha reached it. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juraj Macháň made a kick off. In the 54th minute Ludvík Pavel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lukáš Nohejl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tatran Sedlčany's Ludvík Pavel managed to work through Slavia Praha's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Ludvík Pavel dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 64 minutes, Jan Pulda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Slavia Praha and the Tatran Sedlčany players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Slavia Praha getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Jan Pulda hit a great ball. Tatran Sedlčany's Zdeněk Kratochvil couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 65th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Slavia Praha. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Justin Jiskra during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st match minute, Slavia Praha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justin Jiskra to maneuver through the defense. After 74 played minutes Tatran Sedlčany got a freekick which was hit by Heřman Stloukal. Tatran Sedlčany's David Třetina got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juraj Macháň in the 88th minute of play forced Tatran Sedlčany's goalkeeper Václav Hrnčiřík to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute, Juraj Macháň reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Václav Hrnčiřík. The goal made the score 2-3. After 95 minutes, František Knot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Slavia Praha and the Tatran Sedlčany players grew even worse after the yellow card. David Třetina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lukáš Nohejl having to interfere. The Slavia Praha supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Slavia Praha would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
