Tomáš Kovács showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vlastimil Šerý in the 10th minute of the match. Vlastimil Šerý fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomáš Kovács having to interfere. Václav Bukač could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Tomáš Kovács made a huge save. In the 18th minute, Dobromil Laštovka ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Slovan Prešov's Tomáš Kovács proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Slovan Prešov from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Pavel Fajfr managed to get in a good position for a shot. Slovan Prešov's supporters rose to their feet, but Pavel Fajfr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dominik Benda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vlastimil Šerý in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomáš Kovács prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Václav Bukač had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andreas Špatenka during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Martin Mezera to strike the kick off in the second half. If Václav Bukač had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Slovan Prešov's Tomáš Kovács played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vlastimil Šerý in the 59th minute of play. If Václav Bukač had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dominik Benda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Mezera, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Martin Mezera's late challenge caught a FC Dela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Mezera helped the player get up and apologised. If Václav Bukač had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Slovan Prešov's Dobromil Laštovka got a free kick in the 74th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Slovan Prešov's goal looked a bit too open when Vlastimil Šerý came free, but Tomáš Kovács reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pavel Fajfr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Matěj Sedlařík fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Dela's protests and gave Matěj Sedlařík a yellow card for diving instead. Matěj Sedlařík hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Dobromil Laštovka struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Dominik Benda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Slovan Prešov. After 84th play minutes Václav Bukač shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Tomáš Kovács and just under the crossbar into goal. Tomáš Kovács didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vlastimil Šerý went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Slovan Prešov's Martin Mezera got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Václav Bukač recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 97th minute, Vlastimil Šerý got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
