Zbyšek Arnold took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Slavomír Smitka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Maroš Stejskal fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FK Spittengruen's protests and gave Maroš Stejskal a yellow card for diving instead. Maroš Stejskal hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. When Slavomír Smitka came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the FK Spittengruen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Slavomír Smitka couldn't finish the play. Zdeněk Opatrný hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Josef Kozumplík managed to get in a good position for a shot. FK Spittengruen's supporters rose to their feet, but Josef Kozumplík was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zbyšek Arnold breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Josef Kozumplík scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zbyšek Arnold, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 25 minutes, Lukáš Harvánek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FK Cihalka and the FK Spittengruen players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th match minute, FK Cihalka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lukáš Harvánek to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute Slavomír Smitka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zbyšek Arnold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Josef Kozumplík fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zbyšek Arnold having to interfere. If Maxmilian Melichar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 31 minutes, Maxmilian Melichar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Cihalka's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maxmilian Melichar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michal Schneider got free with Ondřej Pelíšek in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maxmilian Melichar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michal Schneider struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Ondřej Pelíšek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FK Cihalka. If Michal Schneider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maxmilian Melichar to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Michal Schneider managed to get in a good position for a shot. Josef Kozumplík struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Zbyšek Arnold didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FK Spittengruen. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of FK Spittengruen:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FK Cihalka:s goal. Ondřej Pelíšek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michal Schneider in the 79th minute of play. Slavomír Smitka blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zbyšek Arnold having to make a save. 86 minutes into the match, FK Spittengruen's goal looked a bit too open when Maxmilian Melichar came free, but Ondřej Pelíšek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FK Spittengruen's zone, Maxmilian Melichar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ondřej Pelíšek came out of the goal and Maxmilian Melichar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
