The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Kamenity's goal looked a bit too open when Lubomír Dudík came free, but Miloš Kozlovský reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jiří Hambálek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miloš Kozlovský having to make a save. In the 6th minute Jiří Hambálek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miloš Kozlovský saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tomáš Kodet fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kamenity's protests and gave Tomáš Kodet a yellow card for diving instead. Tomáš Kodet kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Kamenity's goal looked a bit too open when Jiří Hambálek came free, but Miloš Kozlovský reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horst Daňhel's late challenge caught a Kamenity's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horst Daňhel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th minute, Horst Daňhel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Metoděj Šubr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marek Ulč, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Radomil Petřík dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Metoděj Šubr, 1-0. Bruno Kašpar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Metoděj Šubr having to interfere. Radomil Petřík's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Metoděj Šubr read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. If Bruno Kašpar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Kašpar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Radomil Petřík made the kick off in the second half. Radomil Petřík sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 53rd minute, Radomil Petřík ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Metoděj Šubr was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lubomír Dudík in the 56th minute of play forced Kamenity's goalkeeper Miloš Kozlovský to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 played minutes Kamenity got a freekick which was hit by Hynek Podaný. In the 70th minute Radomil Petřík shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Metoděj Šubr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kamenity's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
