With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sauveur Caron in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Detlef Zust saved Neunforn from getting behind. In the 9th minute of the match Ken Wellauer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Detlef Zust showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bülach FC's Sauveur Caron got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luis Nacht during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lionel Bauhofer acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 15th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Thimotheus Hegglin. Lionel Bauhofer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mikael Sulliger in the 16th minute. Mikael Sulliger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Lionel Bauhofer made a huge save. Lionel Bauhofer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Percy Steurer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The attack was good, but when Percy Steurer in the 34th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Mikael Sulliger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Lionel Bauhofer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neunforn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Percy Steurer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 51st minute, Denis Stoop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Mikael Sulliger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lionel Bauhofer was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bülach FC's goalkeeper Lionel Bauhofer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Bülach FC's Gerold Jäggi got a free kick in the 65th minute. Percy Steurer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lionel Bauhofer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mikael Sulliger's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. After 77 played minutes Bülach FC got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Schmidt. Gerard Bänninger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Detlef Zust made a huge save. Percy Steurer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lionel Bauhofer having to interfere. Lionel Bauhofer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikael Sulliger in the 88th minute of play. Mikael Sulliger might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lionel Bauhofer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mikael Sulliger ran back to his position shaking his head. Neunforn were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Bülach FC to leave the ground with a draw.
