Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of Schaftelen booed when Manchester Gais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jud Stalder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stephen Lajoie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Tommy Betschart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 7 minutes, Hauke Bossardt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Schaftelen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hauke Bossardt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tommy Betschart made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stephen Lajoie in the 9th minute. When Manchester Gais's Germano Goetschi in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Schaftelen's goalie prevented a goal. When Hauke Bossardt came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Schaftelen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hauke Bossardt couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Schaftelen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jud Stalder was slow to take the kick. During this time Manchester Gais's players had a chance to rest. Hauke Bossardt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Tommy Betschart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hauke Bossardt in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Betschart prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Moritz Gremion kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stephen Lajoie got free with Tommy Betschart in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stephen Lajoie had several of the Manchester Gais's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 44 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Tommy Betschart as he didn't even see the shot coming. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Hauke Bossardt made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Jud Stalder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manchester Gais's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Schaftelen the free kick. After 53 played minutes Manchester Gais got a freekick which was hit by Jud Stalder. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Hauke Bossardt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Schaftelen's supporters rose to their feet, but Hauke Bossardt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Betschart breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Veit Nannarone charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Veit Nannarone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Schaftelen getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Veit Nannarone hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, Stephen Lajoie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommy Betschart was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Stephen Lajoie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stephen Lajoie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Betschart having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Manchester Gais's goal looked a bit too open when Stephen Lajoie came free, but Tommy Betschart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Manchester Gais booed when Schaftelen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulin Müller didn't get a good kick on the ball. Germano Goetschi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerald Helmholz having to interfere. In the 85th minute Hauke Bossardt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Betschart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerald Helmholz made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Vittorio Weiss sent off a good shot on target. Hauke Bossardt struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Tommy Betschart didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Schaftelen. Vittorio Weiss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Gerald Helmholz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Schaftelen had played much better football throughout.
