Jonathan Mäder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falco Hofstetter having to interfere. Clarence Graf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clarence Graf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Falco Hofstetter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Falco Hofstetter yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. A collision led to Morcote getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Norbert Girardelli hit a great ball. In the 34th minute, Ilian Mueller got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Trimmis HC's Clarence Graf got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Clarence Graf received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Falco Hofstetter came out and tried to block the shot, but Clarence Graf slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 43rd minute. Falco Hofstetter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clarence Graf, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clarence Graf was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Clarence Graf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trimmis HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clarence Graf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 58 minutes into the game, Clarence Graf cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Falco Hofstetter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 62nd minute Jonathan Mäder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falco Hofstetter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Falco Hofstetter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clarence Graf in the 66th minute of play. Jonathan Mäder might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Falco Hofstetter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonathan Mäder ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Morcote defense, Clarence Graf kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Falco Hofstetter. The Morcote fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Falco Hofstetter should have stopped the shot. If Clarence Graf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Mäder in the 78th minute of play forced Morcote's goalkeeper Falco Hofstetter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norbert Girardelli hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After 81 minutes of play, Trimmis HC's Clarence Graf made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Falco Hofstetter was left in no man's land by his defense there! Morcote's Falco Hofstetter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clarence Graf in the 84th minute of play. Jonathan Mäder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Falco Hofstetter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trimmis HC's Jonathan Mäder got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Morcote's Norbert Girardelli got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th match minute, Morcote was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norbert Girardelli to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Trimmis HC were the better team. Trimmis HC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
