In the 5th match minute, Kallnach FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Merlin Grun to maneuver through the defense. Evandro Hames was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 8th minute. Arsenal FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. John Askberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Tom Wey made a huge save. In the 12th minute Evandro Hames shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Wey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Lüdi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Serge Summermatter fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arsenal FC's protests and gave Serge Summermatter a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Kallnach FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Anselm Jung hit a great ball. After 27 played minutes Kallnach FC got a freekick which was hit by Gino Sauerberg. Evandro Hames scored 2-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tom Wey, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Merlin Grun got his second yellow card in the match during the 33rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Merlin Grun kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evandro Hames in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tom Wey saved Kallnach FC from getting behind. If John Askberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Kallnach FC's zone, John Askberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Wey came out of the goal and John Askberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vittore Zihlmann charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vittore Zihlmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. John Askberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Tom Wey made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Evandro Hames made a kick off. John Askberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Wey having to interfere. When Belarmo Murga fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arsenal FC's protests and gave Belarmo Murga a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Arsenal FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Belarmo Murga hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the match, Kallnach FC's goal looked a bit too open when John Askberg came free, but Tom Wey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jim Hager sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tom Wey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of John Askberg's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Evandro Hames received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Tom Wey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Anselm Jung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricky Widmer hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Tom Wey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Askberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Arsenal FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
