Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Odo Baldini got the match started through his kick off. Dave Nietlispach took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urbain Zettel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Quintin Lehmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Nietlispach having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Hrvatska's goal looked a bit too open when Urbain Zettel came free, but Dave Nietlispach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Linkin Park F.C's zone, Odo Baldini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrico Fuchs came out of the goal and Odo Baldini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Placidus Larivière kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Urbain Zettel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dave Nietlispach was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Linkin Park F.C's Quintin Lehmann got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 19 played minutes Linkin Park F.C got a freekick which was hit by Desiderius Silvestri. Hrvatska's Dave Nietlispach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quintin Lehmann in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of Linkin Park F.C booed when Hrvatska was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Odo Baldini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dave Nietlispach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urbain Zettel, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Quintin Lehmann might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dave Nietlispach. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Quintin Lehmann ran back to his position shaking his head. Dave Nietlispach showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urbain Zettel in the 36th minute of the match. Quintin Lehmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Nietlispach having to interfere. Quintin Lehmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Linkin Park F.C's Urbain Zettel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dave Nietlispach narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Urbain Zettel was the one to do the kick off. Urbain Zettel struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Dave Nietlispach didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Linkin Park F.C. Quintin Lehmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Dave Nietlispach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Linkin Park F.C's Quintin Lehmann got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dave Nietlispach made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urbain Zettel in the 92nd minute of play. Dave Nietlispach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urbain Zettel, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Linkin Park F.C played a much better game than Hrvatska and deserved their victory. The Hrvatska players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
