Luca Dreher who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Freddy Amhof when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Bernhard Lautens fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ac Milan 1899's protests and gave Bernhard Lautens a yellow card for diving instead. Freddy Amhof showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corvinus Fossati, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute.
