The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Morcles FC's zone, Tran Bannwart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olivier Hesse came out of the goal and Tran Bannwart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gaston Brügger might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olivier Hesse. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaston Brügger ran back to his position shaking his head. Gustl Dupasquier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oswin Eiffel in the 12th minute of the match. Jaro Theiss fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustl Dupasquier having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michael Nolle during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Michael Nolle kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Igor Hunn took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gustl Dupasquier. stockitown's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rey Luthiger kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Tran Bannwart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olivier Hesse having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, stockitown's Peder Bugnon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olivier Hesse made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After some careless play in the stockitown defense, Jaro Theiss kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustl Dupasquier. The stockitown fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustl Dupasquier should have stopped the shot. Gustl Dupasquier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaro Theiss in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 78thth minute of the game Oswin Eiffel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but stockitown's Gustl Dupasquier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oswin Eiffel might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustl Dupasquier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oswin Eiffel ran back to his position shaking his head. After 80 played minutes stockitown got a freekick which was hit by Philippe Helmholz. Tizian Paterson, 81 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Oswin Eiffel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Gustl Dupasquier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 88 played minutes Morcles FC got a freekick which was hit by Rey Luthiger. Gustl Dupasquier didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 94th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. The stockitown supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Morcles FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Morcles FC.
