An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronan Beaulé in the 34th minute of play forced FC Sion's goalkeeper Josef Vaillancourt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Owen Jurt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ronan Beaulé sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

In the 54th minute, Pablo Izzo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfred Felber was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matthäus DuLin got free with Josef Vaillancourt in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Bedra getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Tjark Tobler hit a great ball. Bedra's Gregg Geisseler took a good shot, in the 75th minute, which hit the crossbar above Josef Vaillancourt's head, and flew over the goal. FC Sion's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Bedra. Bedra's Matthäus DuLin got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eugene Hediger struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Alfred Felber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Sion. Ronan Beaulé struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. After 89 played minutes Bedra got a freekick which was hit by Adriana Chaime. Ferdinando Topatigh's late challenge caught a FC Sion's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ferdinando Topatigh helped the player get up and apologised. FC Sion were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Bedra to leave the ground with a draw.
