Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Freiburg's Gregory Tanner started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Freiburg's Stuart Wismer got a free kick in the 6th minute. Adalbero Charpie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregory Tanner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juergen Sforza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cecil Buck having to interfere. After 20 played minutes Freiburg got a freekick which was hit by Stuart Wismer. When Stuart Wismer fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Freiburg's protests and gave Stuart Wismer a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Suracqua FC booed when Freiburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stuart Wismer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Suracqua FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gregory Tanner came free, but Adalbero Charpie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adalbero Charpie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stuart Wismer, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When Jules Schwartz fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Freiburg's protests and gave Jules Schwartz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Jules Schwartz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 37 minutes into the game, Garron Petrova cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Cecil Buck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benito Hirter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Hirter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalbero Charpie having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Garron Petrova to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Garron Petrova shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecil Buck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juergen Sforza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Cecil Buck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gregory Tanner in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adalbero Charpie saved Suracqua FC from getting behind. Juergen Sforza came free with the goalkeeper in the 65th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cecil Buck could save by the left post. 67 minutes into the match, Freiburg's goalkeeper Cecil Buck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juergen Sforza. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Cecil Buck successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 73 minutes into the match, Suracqua FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Hirter came free, but Adalbero Charpie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Freiburg booed when Suracqua FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronald Schaller didn't get a good kick on the ball. Freiburg's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Geoffrey Zehntner in the 76th minute. A nice corner shot did that Geoffrey Zehntner got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Adalbero Charpie quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 78 minutes into the match, Garron Petrova dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cecil Buck, 0-3. Suracqua FC's Danilo Daecher shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 83rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Cecil Buck but with some difficulty. Juergen Sforza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cecil Buck having to interfere. Cecil Buck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garron Petrova, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. When Benito Hirter came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Freiburg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benito Hirter couldn't finish the play. The Suracqua FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Suracqua FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
