Giusto Mahrer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glion HC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marino Sonsini in the 12th minute of play forced Vordertal's goalkeeper Giusto Mahrer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo Hottiger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Griffin Sprecher in the 14th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Vordertal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joao Rothschild to maneuver through the defense. After 20 played minutes, Glion HC's Eugenio Brühlmann shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Giusto Mahrer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Glion HC reached it. In the 22nd minute, Peder Greter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marino Sonsini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giusto Mahrer having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Griffin Sprecher took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Bernardo Hottiger to make any attempt to save it. Bernie Lehner who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Bernardo Hottiger when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 38 minutes into the match, Griffin Sprecher dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bernardo Hottiger, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Vordertal's zone, Marino Sonsini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giusto Mahrer came out of the goal and Marino Sonsini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Griffin Sprecher to strike the kick off in the second half. Bernardo Hottiger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Griffin Sprecher, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. A collision led to Glion HC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Francisco Garnier hit a great ball. Vordertal's Griffin Sprecher got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Bernie Lehner made a precise shot to the right of Bernardo Hottiger. Glion HC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Hurschler got free with Giusto Mahrer in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marino Sonsini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernie Lehner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Hottiger having to interfere. Bernardo Hottiger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peder Greter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Hurschler got free with Giusto Mahrer in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 93rd minute Peder Greter suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pawel Wyder during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Vordertal booed when Glion HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pawel Wyder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Hottiger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julien Berg in the 96th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Vordertal had won after a very even match.
