The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vordertal's Giusto Mahrer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Eggenberger in the 7th minute of play. Vordertal's Giusto Mahrer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Eggenberger in the 19th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Vordertal's Griffin Sprecher nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Georg Braun made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 36 minutes into the game, Bernie Lehner cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Georg Braun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Schweizerhalle's Leonce Daecher got a free kick in the 40th minute. Griffin Sprecher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Griffin Sprecher was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Griffin Sprecher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Braun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Vordertal walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
