Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Gafien FC's Horace Marois started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ivan Schweitzer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horace Marois, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. If Erik Frei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Münsingen HC's zone, Mike Witzig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Schweitzer came out of the goal and Mike Witzig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11thth minute of the game Horace Marois who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Münsingen HC's Ivan Schweitzer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pierre Franceschini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Ivan Jermann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mike Witzig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Schweitzer having to interfere. Münsingen HC's Ivan Schweitzer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mike Witzig in the 26th minute of play. Ivan Schweitzer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mike Witzig in the 28th minute of play. Ivan Jermann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre Franceschini, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Erik Frei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Jermann having to interfere. Mike Witzig struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Ivan Schweitzer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gafien FC. Erik Frei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pierre Franceschini made a kick off. Ivan Jermann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Frei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivan Jermann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Frei in the 58th minute of the match. Pierre Franceschini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivan Jermann having to make a save. If Erik Frei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gafien FC's goalkeeper Ivan Jermann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ivan Schweitzer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horace Marois in the 76th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mike Witzig got free with Ivan Schweitzer in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gafien FC's Mike Witzig got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ivan Jermann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre Franceschini, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
