After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Jost Zwahlen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fc Bierfront's supporters rose to their feet, but Jost Zwahlen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samir Iten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jost Zwahlen scored 0-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Samir Iten, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Derek Sanger's late challenge caught a Fc Bierfront's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Derek Sanger helped the player get up and apologised. Derek Sanger hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Markus Brandt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samir Iten having to interfere. Serge Wickihalter was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Anton Restle. In the 38th minute Jost Zwahlen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samir Iten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Markus Brandt struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Samir Iten didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc Bierfront. After 44 played minutes Fc Bierfront got a freekick which was hit by Kerwin Ziswiler. Gabriel Iff kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Fc Bierfront's Kerwin Ziswiler got a free kick in the 47th minute. Joel Schläpfer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Markus Brandt to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Fc Bierfront's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Schläpfer came free, but Serge Wickihalter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samir Iten didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jost Zwahlen went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Fc Bierfront's Markus Brandt got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Motto's Samir Iten got control of the ball when Jost Zwahlen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Serge Wickihalter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Dali's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Markus Brandt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Samir Iten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Derek Sanger was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 72 minutes had been played. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastian Weissmuller during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 74th match minute, Motto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Weissmuller to maneuver through the defense. If Markus Brandt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jost Zwahlen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Samir Iten made a huge save. Daniel Dali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Serge Wickihalter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fc Bierfront walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
