Tam Henseler made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Lutger Hottiger sent off a good shot on target. 29 minutes into the match, YOUNG BOYS's goalkeeper Tam Henseler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lutger Hottiger. If Reinhard Rochat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lutger Hottiger got free in front of the goal in the 34th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Tam Henseler was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 36th minute Farid Lehner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tam Henseler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lutger Hottiger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 40 played minutes YOUNG BOYS got a freekick which was hit by Benoit Amhof. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thomas Naumann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Niederbuchsiten fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Reinhard Rochat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Cedric Zihlmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lutger Hottiger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Lutger Hottiger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Niederbuchsiten's supporters rose to their feet, but Lutger Hottiger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tam Henseler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fedor Moos was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 77 played minutes YOUNG BOYS got a freekick which was hit by Fedor Moos. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind YOUNG BOYS's goalkeeper Tam Henseler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Reinhard Rochat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Cedric Zihlmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tam Henseler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Farid Lehner in the 91st minute of the match. Niederbuchsiten's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
