Mike Felder's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manolito Gschwind read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Manolito Gschwind showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincenzo Jenny, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After a rather tough play, Fc Deaf's Freeman Braun got a free kick in the 18th minute. Thomas Schuster made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefano Cacciatore in the 19th minute of play. One of FC March Höfe:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Fc Deaf:s goal. Manolito Gschwind had in the 32ndth minute some difficulties stopping Maurizio Engel's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Freeman Braun kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Mike Felder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cody Wapf who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Thomas Schuster when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cody Wapf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Schuster having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

52 minutes into the game, Vincenzo Jenny lined in a short shot 0-1 behind a frustrated Manolito Gschwind.
