In the 3rd minute Gianni Bérard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvanus Bianco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Renens defense, Claude Jans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silvanus Bianco. The Renens fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silvanus Bianco should have stopped the shot. In the 11thth minute of the game Urbain Gräf who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Schatzalp AC's Hajo Zuccarino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hajo Zuccarino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andreas Righetti in the 12th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andreas Righetti got free with Hajo Zuccarino in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andreas Righetti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hajo Zuccarino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. If Urbain Gräf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andreas Righetti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hajo Zuccarino having to interfere. Andreas Righetti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andreas Righetti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Hajo Zuccarino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hajo Zuccarino made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Andreas Righetti sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Urbain Gräf managed to get in a good position for a shot. Renens's supporters rose to their feet, but Urbain Gräf was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hajo Zuccarino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 37 minutes into the game, Renens's Andreas Righetti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hajo Zuccarino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 42 minutes in the game, Urbain Gräf dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Gianni Bérard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Urbain Gräf was the one to do the kick off. Hajo Zuccarino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Righetti in the 51st minute of play. In the 54th minute, Andreas Righetti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 59 played minutes Schatzalp AC got a freekick which was hit by Vittoriano Schoch. Guido Zeyer, 60 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 62 played minutes Renens got a freekick which was hit by Spencer Barth. Silvanus Bianco made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Gianni Bérard sent off a good shot on target. 70 minutes into the match, Schatzalp AC's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Righetti came free, but Hajo Zuccarino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute Claude Jans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvanus Bianco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gianni Bérards short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Silvanus Bianco to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Schatzalp AC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hajo Zuccarino should have stopped the shot. If Andreas Righetti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Renens getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Guido Zeyer hit a great ball. Renens's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
