An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Emmenegger in the 3rd minute of play forced Rovray's goalkeeper Ben Bühlmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ben Bühlmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Emmenegger in the 8th minute of play. Michael Von hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Rovray:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Renens:s goal. The supporters of Rovray booed when Renens was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quentin Wismer didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Piero Meister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Kaspar Krebs fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rovray's protests and gave Kaspar Krebs a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th match minute, Rovray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaspar Krebs to maneuver through the defense. Ben Bühlmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Righetti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andreas Righetti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Bühlmann having to interfere. In the 45th minute Andreas Righetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ben Bühlmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Piero Meister stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Rovray's Ben Bühlmann got control of the ball when Miguel Emmenegger tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Rovray defense, Miguel Emmenegger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ben Bühlmann. The Rovray fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ben Bühlmann should have stopped the shot. Ben Bühlmann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Emmenegger in the 60th minute. 63 minutes into the game, Conan De Col was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rovray's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Renens the free kick. Renens's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Guido Zeyer in the 65th minute. Renens were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Rovray's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Guido Zeyer took the corner. Christophe Sueur was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Emmenegger got free with Ben Bühlmann in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. During the 73rd minute of the match Conan De Col completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Conan De Col a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 74th match minute, Rovray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conan De Col to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Renens booed when Rovray was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaspar Krebs didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Kaspar Krebs was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes had been played. In the 78th match minute, Rovray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaspar Krebs to maneuver through the defense. Miguel Emmenegger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Bühlmann having to interfere. In the 87th minute Andreas Righetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ben Bühlmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Rovray's goalkeeper Ben Bühlmann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Rovray's Ben Bühlmann got control of the ball when Miguel Emmenegger tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Renens left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rovray.
